Jennie Schaeffer

Jennie Schaeffer is a director within the Office of the Associate Provost and Associate Vice President for Faculty and Academic Staff Affairs (FASA). She serves as a strategic partner to leaders of academic units and provides information and guidance to faculty, academic staff, and executive managers. Jennie supports the University Committee on Faculty Tenure and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. She is the FASA liaison to the Council of Diversity Deans and contributes to training and other efforts to promote an improved culture for all in our workplace.

Jennie began working at MSU as a Change Management Specialist within MSU Human Resources in 2008 and provided organizational support, training, and leadership development. She joined FASA as a director in 2020. Prior to her joining MSU, Jennie worked as a manager, therapist, trainer, and consultant for an external Employee Assistance Program and advised HR executives across a broad spectrum of local employers. She holds a bachelor’s and a master's degree from the MSU School of Social Work.

Outside of work, Jennie enjoys time with family (including her pup), music, ancestry exploration, golf, and travel.
