HERC membership includes HERConnect, a centralized hub for sharing best practices about diversity and inclusion in higher education. HERConnect hosts a vibrant virtual network of HERC members who collaborate and share innovative ideas from their workplaces.  Career planning and job search resources support networking and leadership development. Michigan State University is a HERC member.

As an MSU employee, you have access to HERConnect and its robust suite of professional development tools, including webinars, regional meetings, blog posts, ebooks and toolkits to elevate inclusive practices. HERC can help reach talented and diverse candidates through their job board, direct OFCCP-compliant outreach at conferences and job fairs, and targeted advertising campaigns.

HERC Toolkits

HERC offers toolkits for hiring and training search committees. This includes a Hiring Toolkit, a Virtual Hiring Toolkit, a Search Committee Training Toolkit, a Disability and Inclusion Toolkit, and a Faculty Search Committee Toolkit. HERC Toolkits require a HERConnect login. Any employee at MSU can request a HERConnect login by visiting the HERC registration portal.

HERC Jobs offers tools and resources for job seekers and employers.  Job seekers can search for jobs and access free career resources, including articles and ebooks.  Upload a resume, set alerts, and expand your career options on this site. Employers can post jobs on the job board and access tools and a community of practice to reduce bias in recruitment, selection, and retention efforts.
